Those are such important things to consider...especially when raising a family and having little ones looking up to you, literally for their eternal souls.
We will always be with you guys and we loving being friends with you guys, but as a friend, I have to say that I don't agree. If this is truely what you believe than I at least am happy that you found what you were wanting to find, but really REALLY research outside of just what they tell you. Take the time to educate yourselves from other religions perspectives as well. I would strongly suggest that you schedule a meeting with Pastor Floyd at the Wenatchee Free Methodist. I know that sounds really forward, but just hear me out for a second. If Billi or you are truely serious about this, you want to be completely informed, just like you said Billi was researching before attending. Just ASK Floyd for questions that you could ASK the missionaries that have come to your house. If they are able to answer the questions to your satisfaction, great, but I doubt they will. Most Mormans don't even know the full extent of what their bible says because they are only taught certain sections in church and don't bring other sections to "light" because they tend to be pushed away by them...but a TRUE morman should know their book inside and out and agree with everything it has to say...not just bits and pieces and ignore the rest. I just hope that you care enough about making this decision that you can take the time to ask others questions about the mormon religion and maybe even get a conversation going back and forth between each side. To me, the best way to find the truth is to make a rule: they can teach you or argue whatever they want, but it has to be STRAIGHT from the BOOK...not opinionated. That way, you get the real truth, not just what they are taught but not actually believe as a religion. Just a suggestion...
But I am really happy you guys are feeling togetherness and peace as a family. That is so important and I hope that you can find the truth, whatever it is for you...just really take the time to make a decision like this...after all...it's soooo important!
JoyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
